Comprehensive Cladding Remediation Services
Cladding Risk Assessments
Understanding the risks associated with existing cladding is the first step in remediation. Our expert team conducts thorough fire risk assessments, material analyses, and compliance evaluations to identify the safest and most cost-effective solutions.
Facade Remediation
Our team provides tailored solutions for cladding replacement, fire-resistant material upgrades, and structural improvements. We ensure compliance with the latest safety regulations while balancing safety, aesthetics, and cost-effectiveness.
Building Safety Regulations (BSR) Compliance
With evolving building safety laws, compliance with BSR and fire safety requirements is critical. We help clients navigate complex regulations, ensuring full adherence to building control, insurers, and fire safety authorities.

Principal Designer Services
For complex Cladding Remediation projects, Libre Solutions acts as Principal Designers, overseeing safety compliance and coordinating all design elements. Our expertise ensures that projects meet health and safety legislation while minimising disruption and costs.
Fire Safety & EWS1 Certification
For buildings requiring an EWS1 form, we work closely with fire engineers and assessors to complete all necessary inspections and documentation. This process ensures that property owners meet mortgage and insurance requirements while safeguarding residents.
Regulatory & Compliance Support
Keeping up with changing regulations can be challenging. Libre Solutions provides expert guidance on cladding compliance, working closely with local authorities, fire safety bodies, and building control to streamline the remediation process.
Supporting Leaseholders & Managing Agents
We act as a Client Representative, supporting leaseholders and managing agents in remediating critical safety issues from initial consultation to project completion. Our role bridges the gap between occupiers, professional teams, fund providers, and stakeholders to ensure a seamless remediation process.
Remediation Funding Options
Navigating the funding landscape for Cladding Remediation can be complex. We provide expert guidance on government schemes, ensuring access to financial assistance for critical safety defect remediation.
Fire Compartmentation
Compartmentation is essential for fire safety, using fire-resistant walls, floors, and doors to prevent the spread of fire and smoke. Our specialists assess and implement fire compartmentation measures to enhance building safety.
The Importance of Cladding Remediation
The Grenfell Tower disaster in 2017 tragically highlighted the dangers of unsafe cladding, leading to new safety regulations and extensive remediation efforts. The fire, which killed 72 people, was fueled by highly flammable aluminium composite material (ACM) cladding. As a result, the UK government has implemented strict measures to remove and replace unsafe cladding on buildings over 11 metres high. Libre Solutions is committed to ensuring that all buildings meet these new safety standards.

Step 6: Project Coordination & Ongoing Support
We remain involved throughout the project to ensure smooth execution, addressing conditions, structural concerns, and final compliance checks.
The Cladding Safety Scheme (CSS)
The Cladding Safety Scheme (CSS) was introduced to cover the cost of addressing life safety fire risks associated with cladding on residential buildings over 11m in height (11-18m in London).
Applications for both CSS and the Building Safety Fund (BSF) are made through the Building Remediation Hub, managed by Homes England. Only the legally responsible entity for a building’s external repairs can accept funding. This includes freeholders, head leaseholders, registered providers of social housing, management companies, or Right to Manage (RTM) Companies.
Government Commitment to Cladding Remediation
The UK government has committed to ensuring that by 2029, all high-rise buildings (18m+) in government-funded schemes will be remediated. Additionally, every 11m+ building with unsafe cladding will either be remediated, have a completion date, or the landlord will face severe penalties. Key initiatives include:
- Legal obligations on landlords to remediate unsafe cladding.
- Robust enforcement powers for regulators.
- Accelerating social housing remediation.
- Encouraging developers to complete 80% of remedial works by 2026 and 100% by 2027.

FAQs
Frequently asked questions.
Who is responsible for funding Cladding Remediation?
Responsibility depends on the building’s ownership structure. In many cases, freeholders or management companies are responsible for remediation. However, government funding schemes such as the Cladding Safety Scheme (CSS) and the Building Safety Fund (BSF) can provide financial assistance for eligible buildings.
Does my building need an EWS1 form?
EWS1 certification is required for buildings with external wall systems that could pose a fire risk. If you are unsure whether your building requires an assessment, we can evaluate your property and advise on the next steps.
How long does Cladding Remediation take?
The timescale for remediation depends on factors such as building size, material availability, and regulatory approvals. We work closely with all stakeholders to streamline the process and minimise delays.
